Hidden Haven Cottages is located in the beautiful Northern Michigan town of Lake City. Our cottages are nestled on the north end of town among towering maple trees giving the feeling of a rustic atmosphere while still being near town. We look forward to welcoming you and strive to provide the best possible stay for our guests.

Stay in one of our ten, cozy cottages.
Our property consists of three 1BR cottages, six 2BR cottages, and one 3BR house. Each has a full bath, a full kitchen/kitchenette, free Wi-Fi, and Roku TV. All cottages have a queen-sized bed with the exception of the house which also has a king-sized bed and two twin-sized beds.
What you can expect.
All bathrooms are supplied with shampoo, body soap, toilet paper and towels.
All bedrooms are supplied with bed linens/pillows.
All kitchens/kitchenettes include a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee pot, dishes, and basic utensils. Pots and pans are included in all 2BR cottages and the 3BR house.
All units have AC.
Seasonal Rates
SUMMER/FALL RATES
Effective June 1 - November 30
1BR Cottage: $100/night (plus applicable taxes and fees)
minimum 2 night stay on the weekends unless within the week prior
2BR Cottage: $130/night weekdays, $150/night weekends (plus applicable taxes and fees)
minimum 2 night stay on the weekends unless within the week prior
3BR Main House: $150/night weekdays, $165/night weekends (plus applicable taxes and fees)
minimum 2 night stay on the weekends unless within the week prior
A $30 cleaning fee will be applied to each booking.
Nightly prices for the 4th of July holiday are increased by 15% for the nights of July 4-6.
WINTER/SPRING RATES
Effective December 1 - May 31
1BR Cottage: $100/night (plus applicable taxes and fees)
2BR Cottage: $130/night (plus applicable taxes and fees)
3BR Main House: $150/night (plus applicable taxes and fees)
A $30 cleaning fee will be applied to each booking.

Arrival/Departure
Check-in time is 3 p.m. (EST)
Check-out time is 11 a.m. (EST)
If you need to arrive early or leave late please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you. Overstaying may result in additional charges.
Cancellations, Deposits, and Refunds

Cancellation Policy

Travelers who cancel 2 weeks or more before 3:00 PM EST on the day of check-in are charged no fee.

Travelers who cancel between 2 weeks and 1 week before 3:00 PM EST on the day of check-in are charged 50% of the booking amount.

Travelers who cancel less than 1 week before 3:00 PM EST on the day of check-in (including no-shows) are charged 100% of the booking amount.

We require a 50% deposit for all reservations.

No refunds for early departure.

Cottages can only be reserved with a credit card. All major credit cards are accepted.
Pets

We have 4 cottages in which dogs are allowed.

2 dogs maximum per cottage.

Please let us know upon reserving if you need a dog-friendly cottage.

A $20/night pet fee will be added to the reservation.

Please clean up after your pet - indoors and outdoors.

Dogs must be left indoors when you are away from your cottage.

Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times when outside.

You are responsible for any damage incurred by your pet during your stay.

If you bring an animal into any of the non pet-friendly cottages you will be assessed an additional cleaning fee of a minimum of $150.

The Guest Agreement contract which includes pet liability must be signed upon check-in, holding you liable for damages.
No Smoking

Absolutely no smoking or vaping of any kind is allowed inside the cabins. Please only smoke outside and respect other guests.

An additional smoke remediation fee of at least $250 will be charged for a violation of this policy.
Considerations

Please leave your cottage in a clean, respectable condition.

You are solely responsible for all costs related to any damages or theft incurred during your stay.

We reserve the right to ask any party to leave based on unruly disrespectful behavior and you will not be issued a refund.

All guests must sign our Rental Agreement prior to their reservation.

THINGS TO DO
Lake Missaukee & surrounding lakes
Our cottages are just a short 5 minute walk to the shores of beautiful Lake Missaukee. Whether you enjoy fishing, boating or just a long leisurely stroll on a sandy beach, Lake Missaukee has something for every member of the family. Travel just fifteen miles west and you'll find yourself in the town of Cadillac, home to two more impressive inland lakes.
Fishing & Boating
Fishing is a popular activity for tourists visiting this area of Northern Michigan in both summer and winter. Lake Missaukee is approximately 1,880 acres and offers opportunities to land a variety of fish including crappie, blue gill, largemouth bass, perch, and walleye.
HUNTING
Travel north to bag your buck! Rifle season begins November 15th. Showcase your deer on our very own Hidden Haven buck pole. Be sure to book early as this is a busy time of year in our area.
DOWNTOWN LAKE CITY
Downtown Lake City is just a short walk from Hidden Haven Cottages. The downtown area offers several boutique shops as well as locally owned restaurants. Be sure to grab an ice cream cone at the Tasty Treat on your way back.
ATV TRAILS
Explore the trails of Northern Michigan on your ATVs. Hidden Haven Cottages has designated areas for you to park your vehicles and trailers near your cottage.
FALL COLORS
Be sure to block your calendar during peak color season and head up north. Travel the back roads for absolutely breathtaking views of our beautiful fall foliage.
DAY TRIPS
For those wishing to explore all Northern Michigan has to offer, we are centrally located to many popular tourist attractions including Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore, the hiking trails of the Manistee National Forest, Traverse City, and the pristine beaches of Lake Michigan.
